The cuisine at Lucciola revolves around a single, unifying concept:
Lucciola is the ideal backdrop for an Italian escape for city dwellers who are staying in New York City. A mix of contemporary and traditional recipes paired with a wide selection of an exclusive wine list. Our menu includes seasonal specials, as well as a variety of seafood, the best cuts of meat, and authentic and traditional Italian cuisine. Founded by Michele Casadei Massari, Alberto Ghezzi and Luca Filicori. Lucciola pays homage to their hometown of Bologna – mainly its cuisine and it’s wonderful cinematic history. They worked together to bring this city to life in New York City. Pupi Avati directed the film “Festa di Laurea” which inspired Lucciola’s food, atmosphere, overall concept, and overall design. The restaurant reflects the nostalgic and romantic mood of Bologna that Avati depicted in the film, especially his famous courtyard scene, where the simple illumination was reminiscent of fireflies. Lucciola can be found at 621 Amsterdam Ave (corner with 90th), just down the street from Central Park. This is one of the most famous firefly spots in New York City.
